Main Menu Sub Menu “911 Curb Project” for StudentsThe Aish Tamid “911 Curb Project” For Students was designed to provide an immediate work opportunity for students who are anxious to work now! No matter what training or educational background the student may have, the “911 Curb Project” For Students has been made available for everyone. The concept is simple. The Volunteer Student Painter earnings are directly tied to the work effort exerted. The earlier a Volunteer Student Painter starts working in the morning or the later he stays on the job, the more time he will have to paint house numbers. The quicker and faster a Volunteer Student Painter works, the more houses he will paint in a day. The participant quickly realizes that in life there is a correlation between effort and time exerted with rewards and payoff. The best part about the project is that the Volunteer Student Painter can also feel a snese of accomplishment in that the work being done is being done for the benefit and safety of the neighborhood. How so? In the time of an emergency, every second counts. Police, Fire, EMT and Hatzoloh services need to find your home FAST! There is no time for delay! The “911 Curb Project” For Students allows an opportunity for student so to work hard, earn extra money and play a meaningful and active role in assisting in the safety and security of the neighborhood. Long-term goals for this program include student opportunities to volunteer and assist LAPD, LAFD, EMT and Hatzoloh in their ongoing efforts to assist the community. Aish Tamid of Los Angeles is the only holder of a proper permit to paint house numbers on curbs in the City of Los Angeles for the “911 Curb Project” For Students. All work is bonded and insured with the City of Los Angeles. Each student must wear a proper identification badge, carry a copy of the city permit and be a minimum of 16 years of age in order to participate in this project. Home owners can make a tax-deductible donation to Aish Tamid of Los Angeles to cover paint costs for this project. Each Volunteer Student Painter will receive a student stipend for their time and efforts from the donation.
